Push Past It When You Feel Like You Don’t Belong in the Room

Let me be real…
I’ve walked into rooms where I instantly felt small.
Everybody seemed to know someone. Everyone looked confident.
And I stood there thinking, “Am I even supposed to be here?”
That’s the voice of imposter syndrome.
And it shows up loudest right before you step into alignment.
Here’s what I had to learn:
Just because you feel out of place doesn’t mean you are out of place.
You prayed for the room. You worked for the opportunity. Now it’s time to show up.
If this is you, try these mindset shifts:

  1. You’re not behind. You’re breaking cycles. That’s going to feel slow and hard.
  2. It’s not a mistake. You were placed here on purpose, for purpose.
  3. You don’t need to know everything. You just need to be open to learning.

Sometimes the assignment won’t make sense until you’re on the other side of it.

But I promise, if you keep showing up, God will meet you there.
So the next time your chest tightens and you hear that voice saying “You don’t belong”…
Push past it.
You do. You’re just early.
